Anyone deal w/700 Rem w/long throat? New gun, not shot out. Rem do this on purpose?

I think it was no other than Randy Robinette that proved this out before he did his "no free bore" chamber designs in 30BR. His experiments in throat designs pioneered the path for the rest of us.
