Any opinions on why my patches are this color using KG12?
I use KG-12 and the directions state to Flush the KG-12 residue out the bore after running a patch/ brush through the bore 20 passes with KG-3. I use naptha instead of KG-3 to flush and I finish with a liberal coated patch with Marvel Mystery Oil down the bore. The KG-12 patches come out yellow once the first couple patches remove the carbon. Patch color comes out same regardless if Chrome Moly or Stn. Stl.
