So it doesn't make any sense for him to knowingly repeat the Zumbo error in a more subtle manner against long range hunting. Which leads me to believe he lacks understanding of the capababilities of today's rifles, rangefinder's, optics & other equipment, and/or he just can't help himself when it comes to expressing his opinions. Some of the most reknowned gun writers have been highly opinionated and quick to express those opinions. As Kirby said, it just doesn't make sense to harp your opinions when they jeopardize the hobby/activity that you enjoy. I'd like to see Barsness' response to a direct quesiont about his opinion and position with respect to long range hunting. If pressed, the question would probably create some interesting reading. It would also probably turn into a real free-for-all and and then die slow and painfully... which is why I won't be the one to pose that question. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

[QUOTE="Pdvdh, post: 146387, member: 4191"] Stryker60, The 24hourcampfire.com forum Long Range Hunting section receives very little use and attention compared to most of their other topic headings. Long Range Hunting doesn't seem to have much of a following at that forum. Which is why I preferentially spend my time browsing this forum. Barsness does post on 24hourcampfire.com regularly and one of his recent posts was very critical of the Zumbo blog/blooper. Which leads me to believe he lacks understanding of the capababilities of today's rifles, rangefinder's, optics & other equipment, and/or he just can't help himself when it comes to expressing his opinions.
