This is an older thread but just wanted to give some feedback in my first experience replacing a Savage LRP, 260 barrel with a Criterion Match barrel in 6.5x47 acquired from Northland; along with the barrel nut, recoil lug, and action wrench. I must say that James at Northland was very helpful! Overall, the new barrel was very nicely finished...inside and out. Replacement/headspacing took about 30 minutes. I matched the headspacing to my 6.5x47L PRS rifle(Krieger med Palma). Seating depth of to lands of the Criterion was very close to the Kreiger(.005” shorter). After break-in and case forming(100 rounds), velocity, ES, and groups were just about identical using the same load/FL sizing dye, as the Krieger. Needles to say, I’m very pleased with the results, and awaiting a light Palma for my 6.5x284 LRH rifle.
