[QUOTE="LDHunter, post: 1758858, member: 105"] I'll weigh in on this (pun intended) because I recently did the same. I have two 7mmSAUM rifles and one of them is 7 pounds without scope or rings. That's my light weight one and I took off an ATACR 5-25x56 and put on a VX6 HD 4-24x52 to save the weight. So far I like the Leupy fine but it's only been to the range. The reticle adjustments seem to be spot on and although I'm not a fan of their TMOA reticle with the dreaded hole in the middle I seem to be be able to shoot targets well with it at 100, 200, and 300yds but it stresses me somewhat not having a the classic crosshairs at the center. I doubt I'll ever stop wishing the ATACR scopes didn't come in a lightweight version but I don't think they will. I had an NX8 4-32 and quickly traded it for an ATACR. I just couldn't see the reticle at lower powers so it was useless to me as a hunting scope plus I'm not a fan of FFP scopes anyway. If it had been an SFP reticle I might have liked it and I think I heard they'll come out with one eventually. IMO the ATACR scopes will spoil you for anything else if you can handle the weight.
