[ QUOTE ] Budlight I want to use a heavier bullet with a Higher BC but my rifle is not cooperating. The 140 Accubond shoots the best at 300 yards and 500 yards. Why I do not know? I do have some 175 grain custom bullets on the way maybe those will shoot better. I might be to picky I do not know. The 140 accubonds shoot a 2 inch group at 500 yards the 175 Sierra's are about a 3 1/2 inch group. What do you guys think? [/ QUOTE ] I would say that 3.5 inches is dead. I loaned my STW to a friend doing a Colorado elk hunt. The bullet went clear through the elk and exited out the butt cheek with a big wound channel. It's been my experience that the heavy bullets in any caliber just take animals down. The shock wave stuns them and they don't get back up. But then again I don't try for the classic heart lung shots. Base of the neck or spine behind the shoulder.
