BoatTail, Appreciate that. Thought our concepts were genius. One parent case, tons of bullet diameters, common platforms, compact, versatile, and suppressed. :) .299 is on every one of our reamer drawings for 6.5 WSM. Think we tried 15 different reamers before 2 of them are our go toos. Not sure who you working with for a reamer but short freebores are the enemy! If you have to little freebore, the bolt will be sticky and or get some swipe. Hope you are above .180" on freebore. We are over .200." The neck thickness is going to vary a bit because of the different brass and processes we use. Native 6.5 brass, 270 WSM brass or 300 WSM brass. When I came up with all this mess, I said I never wanted to turn a neck or anneal and we don't. Have 7 or 8 reloads out of some 458 WSM that have never been annealed. A few recent 6.5 WSM build in TXH-F10 shoot .5 MOA. Have never split a neck or case. We did have some primers fallout of some Hornady and you will see below. Don't use them. My short term advice is to not worry about wall thickness as much. I have a couple to-dos for you in the shop later, will prep all the different types and let you know. I also recommend getting Bertram brass over the Federal resized brass. Bertram is so much tougher and consistent. You said you reload. If you would like, you can get a die set from us, and do it yourself. We share all of the load data freely. Below is some of our brass recommendations. All cases are trimmed to 2.090" Just like max trim for 300 WSM. 300 WSM brass goes through 7mm, 270, and then 6.5 WSM dies. 270 WSM brass just goes through the 6.5 die. 6.5 WSM, obvious. In order of preference. 1. 6.5 WSM Bertram Brass 2. Federal 270 WSM Brass 3. Winchester 270 WSM Brass 4. Any of the brands above in 300 WSM. Stay away from Hornady. It is junk brass in our opinion. Watch our 338 WSM segment on Youtube. I go over ammo there. It can give you some general perspective of our ammo. V/r, Richie "Send It, Quietly"
