So I have a fierce rival carbon xp 24 in barrel waiting on delivery. I'm trying to get to 2950 fps with Berger 156 eols. I have n570 h1000 and retumbo on hand. Anyone have data that they have gotten that fps with these powders? I'm at 600 ft elevation

I've got a 6.5 SS which is quite similar to your PRC. I have a 24 inch barrel and get 3000 fps using the 156's and RL 26. Out of the powders you listed I'd try the H-1000 first. The others may be too slow and run out of case space before you get the velocity you want. I could be wrong tho.

Try H1000 first. That what I use for my prc with the 156's. You should be able to reach that speed. I am getting right around 3005 fps.

Welcome to the LRH forums!

Unfortunately, the powders you suggest are simply too slow to achieve the velocity you desire. You will always find someone who suggests they aren't but opinions vary. With the cost of powder, Hazmat, shipping and tax you're dealing with a substantial amount of money just to try something in another powder, choose wisely.

There is little reason to use these heavy for caliber Berger bullets when other slightly lighter bullets perform just as well.

156 Berger
Lapua brass
Federal 210 M primer
57.6 gr H1000
22'' HCA barrel
2917 fps validated at over 1000 yards

If your barrel is like a factory barrel I had (different brand than yours, but 26" long) - you will not not get that speed with a 156 EOL with any powder before too much pressure. Welcome to LRH! Good luck and you've got some sound advice above!

I'm running a 22" proof pre-chambered 6.5 prc barrel at 2875 with H1000 and 143 eld-x. This load is right against pressure. I am running very close to book speeds, just hit pressure very early. ADG brass and tight chamber 🤷‍♂️.

156 Berger
Lapua Brass
210M primers
56.4 grains of N565
2950 fps
24" carbon six barrel 1:7.5 twist

I know that you don't have that powder on your list but I've had really good success with the N565
