I just got a Christensen Arms MPR in 6.5 PRC. Began barrel break in and load development this weekend. I have a decent amount of 4831sc on hand, so I thought I try it out. Bullet is a 140 gr Berger Elite Hunter, brass is Hornady Precisison Hunter brass from factory loads. Winchester magnum primer. Started with 54.5 gr, and worked up from there. Seemed to shoot well, and I got into the 2950 fps range. All groups are 5 shots, except the last one, that was 15. Got 10 more rounds to go to finish barrel break in. 54.5–2850–SD 15.3 55.0–2870–SD 10.4 55.5–2891–SD 3.7 56.0–2914–SD 10.9 56.3–2952–SD 14.1 56.5–2954–SD 16.1 I was pretty pleased with this. Probably going to try 56.7 and 57 for the last two break in groups just to see if I can get to 3000. Definitely a MOA rifle and almost certainly, better than that.
