My 6.5 is chambered in 6.5 JRS (a 7mm JRS necked down to 6.5mm) that I built back in the 1980's. It has an inexpensive Mauser cloned action that I bought for under 200$. The only work on the action was to lap the lugs and hard chrome plate it for weather resistance. The barrel is SS in a relatively light weight contour and is likely a SS Douglas premium (24 inch long) but I truly can't remember the brand. It has a Witt Machine muzzle brake installed. And again, I can't remember the stock brand, but I pillar bedded it (aluminum filled Acraglas gel) and coated the stock with colored, textured epoxy. Without the scope it weighs about 8# and it shoots 140 Berger hybrid target bullets great at 3100 fps using 57 gr RL23. It has accounted for a number of deer and antelope out to about 600 yds. over the years.
