You have already been give a bunch of great ideas but I’ll still put my $0.02 in. I have a bolt action 6mm creedmoor and AR10 6mm creedmoor. It is a great cartridge but you have many other great options. You can push 55 gr bullets over 4000 FPS for short/moderate range varmints. I’m getting over 3000 FPS with Berger 115 for long range work. There is abundant quality brass and factory ammunition available for the creedmoor. Hornady provides decent factory ammunition if you lack desire, time or materials to reload. Even in the last 18 months with all the shortages I’ve been able to buy Peterson and Lapua 6mm creedmoor brass for less than $1/brass. A fast twist 243 win or possibly AI would be just as good or possibly better than the creedmoor. 243 win is one of the easiest cartridges to find factory ammunition for. I would argue that the last 3 years it has been easier to find lapua and other quality brass for the creedmoor. If you want more speed and are willing to put the time and $$ to find, prepare and buy materials for the 284/6mm that is another great option. You may also want to look at the 243 WSSM.
