I’ve got a Win., Model 70, that I bought new about ‘81 or ‘82. My load is a Hornady 270 SP, over 82.0 grains ( a little over listed max.....tho listed as a max in an old Hornady manual), in R-P brass, with CCI mag. primers. When taking my time, it can shoot a ragged, one hole group at 100 yrds. At H&H velocities the Hornady 270 SP, is a fine bullet for most any large game. In my .375 AI, pushed a few hundred fps faster....it seems to expand very rapidly, loosing about 35%( or a little more), causing penetration to be reduced. It is superbly accurate in my AI, but I went with a different bullet that offered much better penetration. I would highly recommend the Hornady 270 SP, for the H&H!
