338-06 quest

Noted a caliber size entry hole....and a caliber size exit hole. I went to the spot where he had been standing and managed to locate the bullet 'dig trail' in the ground and recovered the dang thing. Check it out. I obviously <strong><em>WAS NOT </em></strong>pushing it hard enough (didn't have a chrony at the time). Dressed the deer and noted a clean, caliber sized hole right through his heart. I got lucky. I never used that bullet in my .338-06 again. It certainly <strong><em>was not </em></strong>the bullets fault....was all mine.
