Do not get me wrong, absolutely nothing wrong with redding seater or dies. But by the same token, nothing wrong with the Forester bonanza and retail for the micrometer seater is $47. as for your question on bases and rings, it is simple. the bottom of the bases are tapered in relationship to the top and this adds the moa depending on the amount of taper. Similar thing for the rings, the signature rings use a series of plastic inserts that wrap around the scope tube and are inside the metal scope rings and they are different thickness. By following the instructions on which one to put in what ring (front or back) and whether it is on top or bottom of the scope, you can get 20-30 moa and not even touch the scope adjustments. Good luck BH
