Does anyone have the minimum and maximum load data on this combination ? My Hornady book doesn't list the 208's. Anyone hunting with these ? Thanks

I use Winchester brass, CCI250 Large Rifle Mag primers, 73 grains of H4831, and the 208gr Amax. My OAL with using the Hornady comp tool is 3.990 which is 10 tho out of the lands, ON MY RIFLE AS YOURS WILL BE DIFFERENT BUT I WOULD START WITH 200GR LOAD DATA FOR YOUR POWDER AND WORK UP TO MAX, AGAIN THIS IS WHAT MY RIFLE LIKES. Use this website, Cartridge Loads - Hodgdon Reloading Data Center - data.hodgdon.com , its a good site from Hodgdon that gives MIN and MAX loads. At least gives you a starting point. Other then that have fun and shoot straight. -Jake-

Online data is available here:

You can also download Hodgdon's basic manual for free.

200 GR. NOS AB Hodgdon H1000 .308" 3.340" 72.0 2662 44,500 CUP 77.0C 2826 52,600 CUP

79gr h1000 for me.
2860fps avg.
seated to lands.
win brass
cci mag primers
24 inch barrel
savage 110 fcp-k

Using 81 grains of Retumbo, 208 Amax, Win. brass, 3.65" OAL, Fed. 215M primers gets me 3000 fps. out of a Rem. 700 Sendero.

I use this bullet in my 300 Rummy pushed to 3164 fps. I shot a deer with this past season at 475 yds (or so) and it delivered violence very efficently. gun)
Slowing it down to 2900 to 3000 fps is a not a bad idea. :D
