The 300 WBY at 3150 FPS with 180's is the factory load that was reduced many years ago by the manufactories. My 1965 German/ JP Sauer made WBY ,has since been rebarrel by WBY a few years ago. Norma MRP is what I used back in the 70's but then was hard to get, went to H4831 for many years then IMR let the public have IMR 7828 some 15 years ago and that's been the only powder I have used since. I suggest get a old Speer Manual that dates back to mid 60's and you get some realistic vel numbers for handloads. The 300 WBY with 180's in the 26" can safely get 3300 FPS with IMR 7828 @ 86.0 with the right combination of brass and primers. Back in the 60's the powder of choice was IMR 4350 for the 300 WBY with the 180's loaded to 3300 FPS the pressures PSI should have been very high at that levels.......almost in danger zone! IMR 4350 still a good powder for the 300 WBY as referenced in old Speer Manual. The 300 Win a great cartridge have one, a Rem 700 5R tact , I shoot H1000 @ 3000 FPS with 180's. The 300 WSM a very efficient cart........especially with RL 17 and good accuracy. When you get a 300 Weatherby up to its Potential it's a very flat shooting round.....if I remember a 15" drop at 500 yards with a 4" zero at 100 yards. Like to fine a Win 70 Pre 64 in 300 HH that's not wore out?
