[QUOTE="Thomas Culver, post: 2273247, member: 104770"] I have a 6.5PRC and when my bottom metal gets here a 28 Nosler to go with it. I killed my mule deer last year with the PRC and 143ELDX at 2970 with 57gr N565 out of a 24” barrel. That load shoots 1.2” 5 shot groups at 300 yards and hammered that muley. I decided to build the 28 Nosler just because I’ve always wanted a 7mm something and it was an excuse to put together a new rifle, can’t wait to see what it will do, but o agree with the others that barrel life vs speed increase in the 26 Nosler is a concern.
