I shoot my 260 and 700-1000 yards. Anything less is boring.  I don't go fast, most of the time ~2750 but can go faster. More a target rifle but with the new LRX... Of course each rifle is unique but: I believe I've got it down to a formula rather than a recipe: Get some H4350. Yes, other powders can "work" but have compromises that H4350 doesn't. 1) Determine the max COAL for the bullet chosen. 2) Use the "recommend" distance from or into the lands for the bullet chosen. 3) Determine what a 90% case capacity charge of H4350 is based on your chosen COAL. 4) Ensure that this minimum load is "reasonable" by cross referencing to at least 2 manuals and QL or 3 manuals. Bring it up if below references. BE SAFE. 5) Load a string using your favorite method. Ladder, OCW, OBT or combo. 6) Fine tune. This got me: Nosler brass 140 A-Max 42gn H4350 Fed 210M 2.985 COAL = .005 off. 2730fps or Lapua brass 140 A-Max 44.1gn H4350 Fed 210M 2.985 COAL 2853fps
