Kicking around the idea of re-barreling my Rem 700 in 243. I'm debating which twist, and weighing advice I've gotten elsewhere. This will be a medium sporter contoured carry rifle (22-24"), that I also use (secondarily) to play around with medium range target work. I just want a carryable, but accurate rifle that I'll enjoy shooting for years to come. I have been shooting 87 g v-maxes, and started loading berger 95 hunters as well. If I can, I may try 105 A-maxes. I have another 243 in 9.25 twist that I'll keep for the forseeable future, that can do my light bullet work. So, 8 or 9 twist? Advice from those with more experience is appreciated.
