I have a relatively new 300 win mag (a month old but 140rnds down the tube) and a brand new to me 300 wby imp. I was looking into heavyweight 30cal bullets and the 240gr smk with a bc of .771 really stood out. I am thinking of loading then for the 300 wby imp, and maybe also the 300 win mag after a buddy made a comment that with the powders I'm using I would barely loose any velocity going to the heavyweights. I have H1000, Retumbo, and N170 currently available, can get RL22, RL25, VV-N570 etc as well. So any data or starting loads with The powders I have and expected velocities would be great. If anyone has a good idea of how much titegroup (only pistol powder I have) would be right to fireform 300 wby into 300 wby imp. I would just put some rolled up toilet paper in the neck to stop powder spillage. Thanks, Oliver
