Last weekend my wife, Maria, and I took a trip to the range where I sighted in my Remington 700 SPS Varmint 26" heavy barrel. Its topped off with a Leupold VX- 5HD 3-15X44. The zero is 100 yds. I've ordered a custom dial from Leupold. I got the most consistent results from the Federal American Eagle 50 gr. JHP. I shot 1 MOA at 100 yds., a little over 1MOA at 200 yds. I didn't have a chance to shoot 300 yds. The second rifle is the Browning T-Bolt Varmint 22" heavy barrel topped off with a Swarovski Z3 3-10X42. The best consistent groups came from the Remington Magnum Rimfire 40 gr. PSP. I have two more rifles to zero. Both are Browning X-Bolts .30-06. Both were zeroed but I was able to upgrade the scopes on both so back to the range.
