I have a 7 Saum with a 1 in 8 twist that I have been shooting 180s in but I wanted a little more velocity and I got my hands on a good number of 162 ELDX bullets. My question is whether the 1 in 8 twist is too fast for 162s. Is anybody running something like this with good results? To further complicate the situation, the 162s have shorter ogive than the Berger 180s I was running so they will have to be seated deeper into the case. I talked with the shop who built my barrel and they say they can add some free bore if I want. Before I go as far as adding free bore I wanted to see if anyone else was running that light of bullet in a 1 in 8. Thanks Bob
