300 win mag and superformance powder

Ok I posted this a while ago but I thought I would share my progress, I have worked a load up with a 180 grain ttsx. I am running 77 grains with only an ever so slightly flattened primer and I am getting 3363 fps out of it and getting a consistent .5 group at 100 yards. I couldn't believe it...

300 win mag and superformance powder

Has anyone played with this combo and 180 grain tipped tsx? On the burn rate chart it is right under imr 4831. I've started working up a load from 68 grains ( that's where imr 4831 begins) and now have gone to 77 grains with no signs of pressure. Next week I will shoot the next batch and get...

    .270 to .338 rum.

The 270 was my first centerfire rifle and it was handed down to me from my grandmother when she got cancer at the age of 60 and was no longer to hunt anymore. So sentimental value is high and im not a big fan of selling guns anyway.

Ive looked for them cant find anyplace that sells just the long action. How much do they run? I would rather go the savage action rout.

    .270 to .338 rum.

I need a big thumper and have decided on a 338 rum. I have an old rem 700 in 270 and was wondering if i could re barrel it to the 338. if so what length barrel and by who? I also wouldnt mind using a savage action but cant find the long action it will need. I have never had a rifle re barreled...

buying a new 300 wm soon, need insight

I bought the savage 111 lrh. In 300 wm. And couldn't be happier. It shoots ragged holes at 100 yards. I have been shooting 3 shot groups that can be completely covered by a dime... I topped it with the sightron siii 6-24x50. I couldn't be happier! Thank you for the help.

How are the stocks on the savage, are they free floating and solid... or would it need to be replaced... would a new stock improve accuracy any?

buying a new 300 wm soon, need insight

Three weeks ago I had my win 70 super grade in 300 Wm all done up stolen. I'm looking for a new long range replacement. I have been looking hard on the rem sendero and came across the savage 111 lrh I believe. I do not reload, yet. I live in CA so must shoot copper, if that matters. I have been...
