Love the 7mm-08!!7mm-08 Remington for flat shooting proven on whitetail; perfect for 400-yard shots.
Ive been looking at the 6.5 Grendal and now the 22 Creedmoore. Both look amazing.I just bought a 6.5 Grendal for season opener in September. It's a fun little AR rifle.
It is!!!Absolutely. Why would it be considered a magnum? It has the same case capacity as a 6.5-06 (or any other .30-06 based case). It is just short and fat. If you consider a 6.5 PRC to be a magnum, you need to consider a .270 Win. to be a magnum also.
My buddy had a 6.5PRC built by a guy in southern Oregon a couple years ago, I've never been a 6.5 fan til I watched him smack a couple blacktails in the back country and it whacks em pretty **** good with not much recoilI've decided to build a new white tail deer rifle for 2026 and would appreciate input regarding cartridge choice. Shots will be limited to 400 yards and I'd like to limit bullet choice to no more than 7mm and preferably no magnums. The stock will be composite to keep weight down with a 24 inch barrel. Any and all suggestions appreciated, together with your reason for choosing your specific cartridge.
