I have for sale a lightly used Nosler Patriot m48 in 6.5 284 Norma for sale. I had a local gunsmith who does great work add the removable brake. 25 1/2 inch barrel including the brake. 2nd owner. Less than 200 rounds fired total. Very little recoil with the brake. Just over 7 pounds bare. Have load data that goes with it. Gun is a hammer. Only reason I'm selling is I'm trying to thin the heard and have one do it all gun for deer and elk. Probably will regret selling as it shoots so good. Have targets to prove it. Have a lifetime supply of Norma and Lapua brass(both fired and unfired) and dies along with some loaded ammo I will give gun buyer 1st shot at. Scope/rings and front pic rail and bipod not included. Open to selling it with scope and rings if someone is interested. $1000 OBO. Call or text with any questions. (208)521-1848 Terry.

You will regret it, just sold the same rifle 2 months ago regretting it more and more. The Nosler is a solid rifle. Only reason I sold mine was wanting a 280ai should have just rebarrel it. I just bought another rifle or would be all over yours. Good luck with your sale.

Probably will regret selling it but trying to go the minimalist route and only own a couple guns. Been getting some good trade offers but I'm looking to sell. Thanks

How long can you load and what velocities have either of you gotten with these?

I'd have to look at my log but I know the mag is long enough to load them out to be able to touch the lands if you wanted.

Take if form the ole master from a 6.5 rifles beginner. the 6.5/06 is only surpassed by the 264 win mag... I love athe 6.5 284 , but it is .not up to the 6.5/06 nothing on the earth will out perform the 264 win. this creedless is just bull sh ---. the hell with --1-8 twist for hunting a a 1-9.25 is just fine.. now if you want a real long ranger the 7mm remington mag. I am a 6.5 fan but the 7mm remington mag with a 26 " tube is welll the best.

Actually the 6.5x284 may be the perfect 6.5 combustion chamber. It will kill as well as the 7 mag if you can shoot, but with much less recoil (which makes it easier to shoot). It sounds like the bars in Montana are back open though, so that's a positive.
