Hi there,

I'm a passionate hunter from Norway, working and living in Denmark.

Rifle instructor at the local PRS and Long Range club in the weekends.

Currently shooting a custom Tikka 6.5x47 Lapua

Welcome !

How are the gun laws there ?
The gun laws are restrictive. As a civilian you can only own guns for hunting or sport/competition shooting. Semi auto rifles are restricted to 2 rounds unless you can get a dispensation for owning one with the purpose of hunting abroad.
Besides that, passing background check, you can own just about anything (.50 BMG has been banned though)

Let's not forget that in Norway you can only own 6 guns for hunting purposes and not supposed to own more than one gun in same caliber(same purpose) any additional guns has to be for competition in the respective classes, but you can from my understanding own as many barrels as you wish.
The 50BGM is still legal to own actually, but not to acquire so the ones who got them before they where banned still has them, but can't sell them or hand them to the next generation, but all other 50 calibers are legal. Military stuff is deadly u know.....

Seems like Danish law is not as restrictive as Norwegian law, when it comes to number of weapons you are allowed to own. In DK your biggest concern is not having a gun safe big enough ;) (There are restrictions on storage - you can own and store 25 guns, and a maximum of "especially dangerous" weapons - hand guns, semi-autos in gun safe(s) graded at defined security level - exceeding the numbers requires compliance to stricter standards)

It is good to have you on here. I used to shoot skeet with a Norwegian instructor pilot in north Texas. One of the nicest people you could hope to meet. He loved guns and hunting, too. That's how you can tell you are dealing with one of the 'good guys' in the world. That connection to things that matter.
