SOLD/EXPIRED Rack of Rifles & Shotguns FOR SALE

I have decided to sell most of my small gun collection so I can re-start buying some other guns. (Going in a different direction). Here is the list with approx value: Remington 700 BDL in 223 caliber. With Nikon matte finish 6-20x44 Scope with sunshade. On Leupold rings and mounts. All in...

    223 Ammo

The HR with the bull barrels remind me of the PICTURES and MOVIES I've seen of the long range shooting rifles they used in the 1800's... I am not saying I had direct experience with what they shot in the 1800's. I'm not THAT old....geeeesh. I do really like the old or old looking single shots...

    223 Ammo

Yeah, I've got a slow twist as well--- 1 in 12 inch with the Remington 700 BDL. I was told that it would stabilize a 60 grain bullet very well, however, by the Remington Tech support people. I was getting really good (for me) accuracy at 200 yards with 60 grain bullets from the sitting position...

    223 Ammo

Where is a good source for 223 ammo? I want to get one round that I can use for target and varmint hunting, so I'm thinking hollow point in 60 or 62/63 grain. Black Hills ammo, maybe?? Also I'm looking for hollow points for my 243. Also, would like to hear comments and recommendations from any...

First LR rifle, sub $700 suggestions.

This is an interesting thread. Alot of good info. If I could add something to your last post. With your eyes I would consider a NIKON scope 50MM so you get maximum light to assist you with your site issues. I bought a used 6X- 20Xpower NIKON in 50MM and it is a fantastic scope, although you...

    Longer range .223

I hear you about wanting to start with a .223 for some of the same the reasons you sighted. I also restarted shooting last year and bought a pre-owned .223 in a 700 Remington BDL. It is a handsome rifle, as well. I put a very good Nikon 6-20X 50MM scope on it and I've really enjoyed shooting...

    SOLD/EXPIRED Remington 700 BDL in 300Win Mag

A 700BDL in 300 Win Mag with an older but still a goody Leupold 3-9X power scope. Leupold rings and mounts. Rifle in very good condition. I did buy it used but obviously barely used. Also, I have only probably fired 35 - 40 rounds through it out to 100 yards. Seems like a shooter, though. I...

    tikka m595 .223

My Remington 700 BDL in 223 caliber has a 1 in 12 twist as well and it seems to like the Black Hills 52 gr and 55 gr soft point. Topped with the Nikon Monarch glass 6-20x 44MM I can shoot (and see the bullet holes in paper) at 100 - 200 yards with no appreciable drop. 'Hope to head to the range...

    A good beginner scope

oh boy, I have used cheap scopes before and my personal expereince is: bad. You asked for input and I would say: No Go On The Tasco... it is just my opinion. Someone else may say yeah, great scope. All I know is I have a simmons in something like 32X variable that I cannot get rid of, and a...

    tikka m595 .223

I just put a Nikon Monarch 6-20x 44MM on my Remington 223. wow wow wow What a great clear crisp scope that sites in fast... Ilike it better than my Bushnell Elite that seems to have an elusive eye set, it takes me a while to find it and that is NOT fun... the Nikon is right there. I would...

    17 HMR vs 22 mag

This is a very interesting thread and it appears a number of people are recommending more or less what I ended up doing: I have a savage 22 mag Stainless Steel fat barrel, a 93, WOW, it's a shooter.... 125 yards and I can stop most anything thin skinned creature... well, anyway, everyone was...

    .223 round choice.

Hey-- Moly coated stands for "Molybdenum disulfide" and it is supposed to prevent your barrel from fouling so quickly and it is supposed to be a "lubricant", therefore it will to function both in the barrel to reduce wear, ie a lubricant normally does that and some also feel it works...
