Your reamer is going to clean up any problem with bore on chamber end. When they lap the barrel it can wallow out the ends. All you need to do is face off the end on the chamber side. After the bore is indicated true.

If you have a Teslong borescope, you can watch the throater from the other end and know exactly where your cutting.

I've got the same Priest Tools power lift on a Precision Matthews PM-30MV which has a head that weighs more than the mill you have and it's been working fine for 2+ years. Now if you have your gibs set too tight or have the lock screws tightened down, then no it is going to overcome that.

If it was coated with cerakote, then it wouldn't etch. You need bare metal to etch.
