    SOLD/EXPIRED Custom Savage 260 Rem

I bought this gun and have just now had a chance to shoot it 10/12/13. It performed as advertised. 5 shot groups getting under 1/2" at 100 yds with the 140 gr Berger VLDs and the Hornady 123 gr SST. Thanks for a great rifle.

    high altitude stove

My experience as a backpacker and mountain climber using stoves up to 12,000' elv and on snow in warm to cold conditons. Avoid the liquid fuel stoves unless you are going on an expediton out of the country where you cannot find the Butane/Propane mix cartridges. Liquid is messy, slower to start...

    Savage Model 25 LV-T in the .223

Thanks for sharing your experiences guys. This is really a great site. I will try the as thrown loads with the varget and see whats up and then some trickle up charges and compare. Going out today to try by load ladder charges at 200 yds. from 23.7 gr to 26.1 gr Varget behind the Sierra 69 HPBT...

Is a powder measure accurate enough?

I just started reloading after many years away. I am now reloading for a 223 Rem Savage Model 25 bolt rifle. I found my Lee Pro double disk powder measure is giving inconsistent weights of powder. Plus or minus 0.1 grain with one +0.3 after weighing 20 charges on a Frankford arsenal digital...
