Early morning temps around 65. Afternoon 85-89. I live in AZ at 5200 feet. Now that you mention it, it seems to shoot better in the morning, maybe because it cools the barrel faster?

I was thinking that because I'm new at that also, but it seemed that every time I shot and had problems, I would wait and shoot more out of the same batch with no problems. I will be spending a lot of time the next few days looking at stress/ and heat issues. Thanks.

I appreciate everything so far.. It is a pretty new barrel 2 months but I've put over 300 rounds through it, with never more than 3 quick shots, 90% of my shots are at least 7 min. apart. Usually more like 15. I checked the spacing on the barrel and it has plenty of room until the last 2 inches...
