Looking at cutting a remmy 700 5r 24” 300wm down to 19.5-21” for supressed use only...Not too worried about velocity...more concerned about supressor life...yhm qd phantom 308/ sig srd762 qd Both are 300win mag rated...but not much info on minimum barrel legenth...chime in with some info please...

In 270 Winchester...great cartridge...would like to see mor heavier projectiles...but I have done a lot with 130gr sst

I own a Winchester m70 classic stainless boss...amazing gun...ragged holes with many different factory ammo.works smooth and reliable every time I cycle the bolt...no matter what...which is more than I can say for a lot of other factory guns...one of my all time favorite...I have a kimber hunter...

I would look at heavy pills... but still mabe able to shoot factory 150s too

One of my longest shot records was held by a 270 win model 70 classic stainless boss shooting 130 gr Winchester ballistic silver tips...701 yrds bang........thunk dead right there 200 plus lbs whitetail...insides were jelly no exit...total energy dump... I’m kinda thinking a fast twist 270...

Looking to rebarrel my favorite hunting rig...good ol model70 270....looking at fast spin 06 vs 270....FYI I shoot supressed...and subsonics in 06 is a possibility....in the long range game it’s a tough call...any suggestions? Please chime in.

22lr, 308win super/subsonic, 300win mag ....easy to find ammo for all calibers...covers plinking, mid range, long range, and subsonic work also...

I think a kimber in 300wsm or 300wm would be light and powerful....I seen a rem model 7 in 300 wsm with 20” barrel that would be light and still powerful...

I’ve been running a 5r mill spec stainless r700 in 300 wm 24” barrel and suppressed...with factory Hornady 200 gr long range precision... very accurate... low sd and es....hits whitetails and 400 lbs hogs at distance hard....dead right there results....drt preformance....very impressive for off...

Lol that’s funny, I have multiple custom built rifles push feed and crf. My most accurate is a factory boss m70 270 win that will put rounds through the same hole if I do my part and shoot cold bore. I shot a 10 rnd group that measured 7/8” at 500 yrds...yup less that an 1” at 500. Factory...

Although crf was soposedly desigined for more reliable feeding under combat conditions. The extraction is amassing...I seen a m70 pre64 crf completely rip off the case head from case on a stuck cartridge....if that’s not pulling power I don’t know what is...
