Lapua makes 30/06 brass that can be turned into some wonderful 280 brass for about $20.00 a box of 20 if you reload . I thought the 280 was about .050 longer than the 30/06 and for the ackley you had to use 280 brass to fireform. If this is not the case I will definatly be buying laupa 30/06...

Has anyone ever used RL-22 for a 7mm RUM? I have see data for 25-06 up to 300 RUM with this powder and have never seen anything listed for a 7mm RUM. There must be some sort of starting load for this, right?

My Deawoo has live tooling, it's great for 2nd opp. But you won't like the price of the tool holders when you go to buy more of them. Allways have more thrown in on the purchase of the machine and work it into the financing. I like to learn the hard way.

My concern about blueing the inside of the barrel wasn't about coating thickness. It's more about the rusting process that happens. I was wondering if in a match grade barrel where the rifling has been honed or polished that it might be best not to let the corrosion process take place there.
