My gunsmith threaded my 6.5 Tikka T3X Lite with 1/2-28 thread. I then installed a self timing Fat Bastard brake works really well. I also use the 1/2-28 CB flash hider when using my Thunderbeast suppressor. Flash hider and suppressor work so well that I did the same with my T3X Lite 22-250.

I agree that the suppressor heats up very quickly, causing mirage when bench shooting. I use a rechargeable battery operated fan that I got on Amazon. I just turn it on and point it at the suppressor and it takes care of any mirage issues. This prevents me from having to shoot with the brake...

I’m not familiar with that suppressor but you mention the 6.5 end cap. Do you have a different, larger end cap to try so you can see if the end cap is causing the issue?
