    Chronograph necessary?

That is what I thought... It would show if you had a reloading consistency issue, vs a rifle equipment issue if you ran into issues. Thanks Wags

    Chronograph necessary?

So, assume I have a weapon capable.... It seems as if reloading is pretty necessary for a ton of reasons... IF it is necessary, or just desired, then a chronograph IS required?? It seems as if not using factory ammo, calculating bullet drop is not very accurate "guessing" on velocity? Put...

    "Precision honed dies"

    "Precision honed dies"

You would have to modify the "guide shoe" (it is a wear item anyway) to have the .050 taper... Easy enough to do on a mill... mill in taper, stone will rapidly wear and follow taper.... Wags

Got it. Found it. The .050 taper would be a pain, but doable... but more of a PITA than paying someone. Thanks Wags

    "Precision honed dies"

Meaning the die would make the case sloppier in the chamber.... soooo I hone die out, this makes case bigger.

    "Precision honed dies"

That is what I wondered.... the drawing I saw did not show any taper in the body. Wags

    "Precision honed dies"

So... on another forum a JCL precision guy was mentioned that would precision hone a die for you.... sooo.... Let's back up... I will start with my .22-250 Redding will "custom make" a die for you if you send them 5 fired cases. Ok, they are obviously taking dimensions from your case and...

Neck size/ fl die or neck size die

Forster has a die they call the "bump and neck size die"..... I have redding micrometer bullet seating die and neck die... but maybe I need the ?? die to bump the shoulders?? Wags

Neck size/ fl die or neck size die

My "nicest" (meaning most custom) is an HS Precision .22-250... I would assume/ hope it has a nice chamber. My other two rifles are just a run of the mill Remington 700 .25-06 and a weatherby 300 wby mag. SO... the .22-250 would be my main one. Wags PS, while browsing redding site for...

Neck size/ fl die or neck size die

OK... this is going to be a stupid question... but I am missing something.... So, if one uses a "neck sizer die" (assuming it is used as intended), this die will ONLY size the neck itself... it will NOT "bump the shoulder"? And, if one wants to "bump the shoulder", then you need to use a FL...

Can/ will Leupold custom shop do this for me? Zero stop would be nice, but since I'm only shooting 400 yards I am not doing multiple turns. Wags
