For about 20 years my only hinting rifle was a .270. 130gr for just about everything.
Of course I have since “decided” I need more power for whatever reason. But I really like the .270.
I have the same chassis laying around, I’m wondering how well this works with the internal mag length of like 2.8x.
Is this done yet? I want a light rifle, maybe 24” bbl.

Well I got my action finally. And I ordered a .338 brux heavy varmint bbl.
guess I’ll stick to my original plan of keeping the RUM and building a .338NM on the new action.
I didn’t realize a McMillan stock was an 8 month wait. Yuck.

I also ordered a Mausingfield large face action a while back and am waiting on it.

Buds is listing it as an "SPS LR" and SPSs are excluded from the rebate, but the part number that they are selling is the normal LR part number. So I bought it assuming everything would go fine.
Remington also has a $150 rebate on most models for the next little while.
I am not a Remington fan boy, but I couldn't pass up a deal a few days ago.
Buds has 300RUM Long Ranges on sale for $556. Less the $150, and I have a new Remington LR for $406.
