I had similar issues with a ridgeline. Mine had headspace issues. They installed a new receiver. I also just got back from fierce arms a 28 nosler I sent that had excessive headspace. The bolt closed all the way on a no go gauge.

I have a Bergara. I use CCI 450 Lapua brass as well with H4350 and hammer hunter 124 gr bullets. I will give Bandlands Precision a try with their 125gr bulldozer-2 bullets. They have a higher BC than hammer bullets.

I’m using the 124 hammer hunter bullets on my savage ultralite 6.5prc with proof barrel in it at 3220fps using 57.5 gr of R26, Fed match 210’s and adg brass. Mine is a 1:8 twist. I’m .040 away from the lands.

How does a normal FL sizing die close the neck without the expander ball? I have been using a hornady fl die with the expander ball and then use a sinclair neck turning mandrel to set the final neck tension to .002.
