After testing with 4831sc, and the new Garmin, this powder is providing better speeds than h1000. Still more testing to do with this powder.

Thread is relevant to my interests. Just got a ridge line fft and want to add a pic rail or arca without adding too much weight.

Just did some initial testing on the new 22” barrel. H1000 gave nice accuracy with the 175 eldx. Will have to up the charge to get above 2900fps. 4831sc gave some nice speed with decent accuracy. Will up the charge next trip and post data then. may also try Retumbo with the 195 berger.

An axis buck is on my bucket list. Very nice photos. God bless Texas

Haven’t seen anyone mention this, but my dealer charges $100 for a transfer. I’ve never done it but he did mention it last time I was in. May want to inquire about transfer fees between ffl dealers.

I have staball hd to try. I have in inventory 175, 180 vld hunter, and 195 eol on hand. What kind of charge weights are you having luck with on that powder?

Never used vihtahouri powders. Are the 560, 565, 570 considered dirty or hard on throats?

7prc is easier to load for. 7rm is a great round for sure. I wanted something in the 20-22” range that could shoot heavies with good speed Suppressed. Non-belted case is a bonus.

4831sc maybe? If not then a proprietary blend I’m guessing. I’ve got a lb of 4831sc as I’ve heard good things about it from several people testing it on 7prc.
