Hello all, I am looking for guidance on re-barreling a browning a bolt 7mag. I was leaning towards 6.5 prc as this will be primarily an antelope, deer gun. I have never had a rifle re-barreled before and am unsure what else I will need to do. Will I need a new bolt face as well? Hoping someone...

Anyone try or have had luck with the 168 LR Accubonds with Retumbo? I'm currently shooting Bergers and Rretumbo, and thought id see what the LRAB would do. Hoping I started at the right charge as I have not seen anyone with load info for this.

stock rem 700 7remmag xcr2 24" barrel 168 bergers, federal 215 primers, 69 gr retumbo, 2863 fps 2862 fps 2873 fps could only get three off and guessing the last shot increase is the barrel warmed up. Seem about right?

I will run both through the chrono again today hopefully. Getting to be that time of the year so i will just have to run what i got.

i could go higher but the accuracy wasnt there for either powders.

my chrono read about 2800 but i wasn't sure to quite trust that. havent shot the retumbo through it yet but the h1000 seemed low to me

What velocity should i see out of my 7mm rem? 24in factory barrel. 168 bergers trying 69 gr. of Retumbo and also 68.6 gr. of h1000?

Does anyone know, or would like to tell where i might be able to find some H1000? I have been looking for quite some time and cannot find anything. Any ideas?

I understand the twist. I am just curious if i can shoot the 168gr bullet with a faster thn recomended twist.
