My long-term favorite is a Blaser K95 in 6.5x68R. Last one they made in that caliber. Basically a 6.5-06 or 6.5 PRC. Super accurate, lightweight, beautiful in looks and handling single shot.

Well my list will be a little different but these calibers have serve d me well in multiple activities: 22LR 6.5x68R 300 H&H 30-06 45-70 6mm br Okay I had to add one more.

It is Ruger no. 1 rifles

I am in need of a gunsmith who can rebarrel and rechambered a couple Ruger number rifles? Look forward to your recommendations. Thanks

There are a few fairly easy things you could do and still keep the rifle as is. Load the 325 down some closer to 8x57 ballistics. Could have the barrel magnaported. That can be done on any profile barrel. Then change out the buttpad. Try any one or all. They should help.

you have a couple other options. As you said this rifle is for deer size game just download the 325. That will save recoil. You could also consider magnaporting the barrel. Doesn’t hurt the aesthetics and calms recoil. Change the recoil pd. Try any or all of the above should help a lot...
