    My main deer rifle is a 257 Roberts on a long action, if you really want a short action go with a 250AI. I had a Jarrett Windwalker on a 600 action, The biggest mistake I ever made was selling it.

    I have owned 2 Patriots a 308 & 260 both were sub 3/4" rifles but the stock is the most uncomfortable stock I have ever used so I move them on.
