    204 ruger loads

Almost got my 204 up and running, anyone out there got some good loads they have worked up for this cartridge? Any thoughts on expected accuracy?

HS 10 round magazine keeps falling out

Has anyone had this problem?: My remington 700, 7-08 rem has a HS precision detachabe magazine system, and both myself and a buddy who has the same set up find our 10 round mags feed badly (double feeds), and they tend to fall out regularly under recoil. I only put 9 rounds in mine usually, but...

    Defensive Edge muzzlebrakes

Re: Defensive Edge rifle finish Hi Shaun, What is the 'matt green' finish you have used on the rifle pictured to show your muzzle breaks? I've been getting my stainless barrels bead blasted to reduce their reflectivity, but I find after some field use they stain badly. At this stage my only...

    220 Swift vs. 22-250 for varmints...Opinions Please

Never had a 220 swift, but a friend who is professional kangaroo harvester (he's shot well in excess of 100,000 animals) always had 22-250's, then switched to .243's, now has a 220 swift and absolutely swears by it. He gets good accuracy- has to shoot 'roos in the head at 2-300 yards out the...

Calibre's to suit Sako L691 Action

Re: Calibre\'s to suit Sako L691 Action Skip, in the 'guide to shooting in Australia', recently published by SSAA, RDT products (ie Tobler barrels) lists in their ad as importing berger projectiles. I haven't got around to it, but i plan to call them about some for my 204 ruger. RDT ph 0248851881

    HS stocks- barrel diameters?

I'm planning the purchase of a HS stock for my 338-06 on a winchester Mod 70 CRF action. It's a hunter, so I want to use the sporter stock, but as standard this only takes a .65" muzzle diameter barrel. I prefer my rifles with a bit of weight, and would lean more to a 0.75-0.80" muzzle with a...

    338-06

G'day Roy, Thanks for reply. To answer your question, young camels are good eating, not much different to beef. Generally though we are removing them as pests from Northern territory cattle stations (ranches) where they do a lot of damage (smash watering points up and walk through fences). This...

    338-06

Hi guys, I'm an Aussie hunter looking to change my 270 winchester over to a 338-06 for use on camels, donkeys, brumbies and buffalo. Have any of you had any experience with this cartridge? I'm mainly thinking 180-225 grain projectiles, don't need any larger for my 'targets'.
