    Vortex/Celestron high magnificaton binocular help..

There are several options for you to consider. Yes the Meopta is great and so is the Zeiss Conquest HD and the older Swarovski SLC but all are out of your budget range. Stay away from the 20x The Vortex Kaibab HD 15x56 is good as well as the Nikon Monarch 5 16x56. Another one to look...

    Best Bino Under $1500

Swarovski SLC current model-you will not regret it, the EL model is not better just has a different view. The SLC is a best buy in alpha glass. If you cant afford it then take your pick of these: Zeiss Conquest HD-can be had now days for as little as $700 new. Used Zeiss Victory FL GPO...

new spotting scope options? hoping for some insight from others?

The Zeiss is a good bet if you can afford it. The 20x75 eyepiece is a compound eyepiece, wide angle at low powers and standard fov at high magnification. Because of this the eye relief changes between low and high power and adjustments have to be made to the eyecup. This is the only thing I do...

Vortex Kaibab HD 15x56 vs. Zeiss Conquest HD 15x56

Dk60 Find a retailer that stocks both and take them outside and do some looking around. Its actually not a fair comparison as the Zeiss is in another price bracket. The Zeiss is brighter/sharper and much more comfortable to use. The eye cups are terrible on the Kiabab. On top of that if you...

Vortex Kaibab HD 15x56 vs. Zeiss Conquest HD 15x56

No contest. The Zeiss is superior in all aspects.

Savage 111 LRH 7mm Rem Mag - Not Holding Group

As mentioned let your barrel cool between shots. Check the torque on your action screws and make sure your stock is not touching your barrel. The problem may be the load, your gun might just not like it. Yes it might put a couple in the same hole then others 1.5 to two inches away in the same...

    Mountain hunting optics

At a minimum I would take a good 10x42 and a compact spotting scope like the Nikon ED 50 or Vortex Razor 50 and a quality small/lightweight tripod. Have your binocular set up to use on the tripod. You will be amazed how much more you will see with your binocular tripod mounted. The small spotter...

Best Scope in the $800 Range

My easy pick would be the Sightron SIII LRMOA 6x24x50 SFP with the illumination.

    Best scope under 1200

Swarovski Z3 4x12x50 with BRH reticle-if you do not want to twist turrets and want ot use use a hold over reticle. Sightron S111 6x24x50 LR. I like the MOA2 reticle with illumination.

    Which One

The Zeiss Conquest is much better optically than the mentioned Vortex scopes.

    Nightforce SHV or Sightron SIII

I recently was looking at those two also. I went with the 6x24x50 SIII with the MOA 2 with illumination (very necessary for low light hunting with this reticle). I have the same scope sans illumination on a varmint rifle. Both scopes have been great.

    Minox MD 50 spotter

Save a little more $ and get a Nikon ED 50, much better. I picked one up recently for $350 in like new condition with eyepiece.

New 7 rem mag, horizontal stringing.

The problem has gone away. Barrel is now broke in. Two fouling shots from a clean bore and taking time to make sure each shot is a cold bore shot. Thanks

Please advise... Vortex Razor HD spotter or Vortex Kaibab HD bino?

I would go the Razor 50mm spotter and up it a notch to a 8 or 10x42 binocular in the price /quality range of the Viper HD or better.
