I have a 16" Et T cyl. stove that I like and use allot.Plus he is a great guy to work with.
I think that the new T I Goat Wi Fi stoves are interesting but its hard to be Ed T.
What are you wanting to heat?
Glad to hear these mentioned.I just tried on a pair at REI and they felt great.I think I'll buy them soon.
Pyro I hope you and your little partner have a great season

If you will be near your truck or are packing in with horses the 4 dog titanium is the best I've seen.
If you will be carrying it in a backpack I think the T I Goat WiFi looks like the best option.
If you are on a tight budget Google Ed T backcountry

You should take a look at the Exo Mountain Gear pack. The large one is rated at 5500 C I but it dose not take into account a large long pocket on each side and a large mesh pocket on the back

I really like going floor less.It allows you to save weight ,use a wood stove and not worry about muddy boots. Just get a piece of tyvek to put your sleeping pad and bag on

I think you will be very happy with the Super Tarp. I've used one for several years. You can fit two people in it but they are a palace for one guy.
As for a stove ,if I were looking to buy one the first place I would look is T I Goat Wi fi.
The one I use when I use one I made out of two s.s...
You chttp://www.westernmountaineering.com/index.cfm?section=products&page=Accessories&ContentId=44ould just use one of these for extended trips without a heated shelter

I can laugh about it now but about 9 years ago the same thing happened to me the first time I used my tipi with a stove. W M also fixed me up than.I was not laughing at the time though.
Than last year I did the same thing with a down coat.I'm a slow learner.

I have a W M Badger 15 deg. bag and an older W M 0 deg. bag.I think the 0 deg. bag pre dates the named bags.
I can't say enough good things about Western Mountaineering
