Wow! Absolutely stunning rifle.

Nosler and Hornady bullets have never failed me and shoot better than 99% of people are capable of shooting, so I've never felt the need to spend more on bullets.

I used IMR 4350 in his, wasn't finicky at all and I see it in stock fairly often nowadays.

Friend of mine has the same rifle, bought it new around 2002-2004. Not sure on twist but his shoots well with 160 grain Accubonds.

I don't recall ever seeing a Win 444 with a pistol grip before, nice looking rifle! To the OP, I've got one of the older Marlin Guide Guns in 45/70, SS and ported. I don't bear hunt, but have always thought it'd be just the ticket for such.
