Looking for a new hunting bullet... Which one!??!

I have had good results with hammer bullets. I have only shot one bull, was 400 yds with a 30-06, and it put him right down, would thing the 300 wsm would give some good velocities. They are the easiest bullet to load for that I have used. But there are lots of good options, 300 wsm is a good...

    Altitudes effects on POA/POI

Probably already got this, but, i live at 125’ and hunt 10,000 plus regularly, you asked about zero, altitudes doesn’t change anything under 300, at least not enough to matter. If you are gonna dial, that is about as light as it gets for a reliable set of turrets. The other that is more cost conscious and as I understand is a reliable turret...

    Ca approved bullets?

Second on the hammer bullets, good terminal performance and I find them very easy to load, due to there consistency in construction.

    Scope for light weight rifle

One of my favorite light weights is a vortex LH 3-15, with the MOA reticle. 16oz I hold over, but only shoot that rifle to @500. I think is is the best option for my light weight guns. but as it seems to go, they stopped making that scope.

    Scope for light weight rifle

I went thru the same dilemma, I wanted to dial elevation, best I have found is the 2.5-10 Nightforce compact. Is 20 oz, not the lightest option, but I will sacrifice the 4oz for the confidence it brings. Interested in what others think on this, I am always looking for light weight options.
