Great Mount! Love that little .17 WSM. Have a couple (Ruger, Franklin Armory) brother has a Volquartsen. All VERY accurate. Have made several shots out to 250 yds. LOTS of fun when you can find ammo.

8mm mag. 220 gr partition @ 3200 fps literally knocks them down off their feet.

I have 2 Remington .308s. If you take time to meticulously break in the barrel, lap the locking lugs ($40-$60 or so), and install a good trigger (I like Jewells) and scope, they can shoot one-hole groups with factory match ammo (Federal Gold Medal works in mine).

Why not send to Christensen & let them replace the barrel?

.17 WSM is a pretty impressive rimfire. I have a couple; Ruger, Franklin Armory (AR based action-piston system). Very hot depending on bullet. Shots out to 300 +/- are doable, and more often than you'd think. Next for me would be 22-250 & .243. All good fun..... Currently the issues are finding...

Have reloaded for >50 yrs. Looking at trying some longer distance shooting. Have always used RCBS, but am intrigued and interested dies with changeable neck sizing bushings. Question is, are there any 'favored brands' out there. Sinclair, Hornady, Redding, RCBS, etc. This is for a 6.5 CM and...
