    Suppressor help

Lots of guys would cut that .308 back to 18" if they're planning to run full-time suppressed anyway.

    Suppressor cover

About a year ago I sold my SiCo covers & replaced them with these: https://mgmtargets.com/product-category/suppressor-covers/?v=7516fd43adaa My purpose for the cover is trying to prevent bumps & bruises from doing chores with the rifle slung over my back, and I have no real complaints so far.

How to remove this hand guard?

I believe you're correct. DPMS's version also has a reputation for needing heat to release the lock-tite.

    What’s your spookiest hunting experience?

    I'm going with Charolais.

    375 Ruger Longest Range Load

Took us long enough, but yes -- suppressors are good to go now. True, on an aimed shot. The problem is the less-than-careful folks with the muzzle-up ND's that people are concerned about. I'm going 9.3x62mm this year, for the record. Won't have a can that big this year yet though.

9.3mm Group Buy... are you interested?

I'm following for interest, but won't be buying any bullets this year. Once I see what our midwest whitetails think of the PPU 285gr this winter, I'll check back in to see if a flatter-shooting deer-oriented bullet is in the cards.

    X-Bolt 1/8 twist .223, 55 grain ammo?

The way I'd interpret what you're reading is that heavier bullets prefer a faster twist, not that light bullets dislike a fast twist. I have had very good experience with an Odin Works AR in 1:8 all the way from 50gr to 77gr. I'd expect you'll be just fine with the 55's.

Ramblings and Such From Hunting Coyote

It's on a gentle slope 10-15 yards from the base of a tall terrace - probably as close to what you're calling a cut bank as we have around here (rolling farm hills in NW Iowa). I didn't notice any smell or fleas, but didn't want to get right up in it & disturb it -- I can view this concealed...

Ramblings and Such From Hunting Coyote

I'm trying to identify a den I found in a new pasture this weekend, but it's more like 6" wide & 4" high. Any guesses -- fox, badger, or ..? No snow, & no tracks that I could find.

How big is that den opening? 6-8" across maybe?

What 17 HMR is everyone shooting?

I did buy it new, but held it long enough before finding the issue that the seller won't touch it. Savage did offer to look at it, but I don't think I can afford to not have my thermal up & running with lambing season coming up.

What 17 HMR is everyone shooting?

The mag will block the bolt from going forward., doesn't matter which of the 3 mags I have, nor how many rounds are (or have been) loaded. Just pulling down on the mag isn't enough -- I usually have to remove the mag & try to hold it in a spot where it's not locked in, but high enough to get...
