    Berger Bullets

I tried a few different powders using resized 7mmRem Mag ADG brass, Federal LRM primers, 3.517" coal. I worked up to all of these charges, but should get you in the ballpark with your shorter barrel. 59 grains of 7828ssc = 2997 fps, Sd 5, ES 11fps, half moa. Very mild load, no pressure signs...

    Berger Bullets

I run the 156's to 3087 FPS out of a 28" 1:8 twist .264 Win Mag. They shoot fine, but I live at 5500' and it's all uphill from here. I wouldn't want to go heavier. For my twist, 130-140 grain is probably optimal.

    Least fussy mono-metal bullet?

It is a work of art! I'm not sure exact range of the target. It was far enough out my rangefinder wouldn't pick it up. Ended up using my 6.5 Creedmoor for hunting this year and didn't get a chance to test them on game. At least not yet, still have a valid elk tag to punch.

    Least fussy mono-metal bullet?

I noticed a similar thing with my 338 and the 275 grain SBD2. It shoots a one inch group at 100, and also a 1 inch group at 300... weird.

Cutting Edge Lazer vs Badlands Precision Bulldozer

I run the Badlands bulldozer in 250 grain and the super in 275 grain in my 338LM, as well as the 135 grain Supers in my .264 Win Mag. I'll say this, there is only one way to find out which you and your rifle prefer. Order 100 each and do some testing. Be warned, they pressure a lot earlier...

Are you shooting as much with the ammo shortage ?

I shoot every day. On my archery range.

Trying to find accuracy in a 45-70 405 Gr Bullet with 4198 powder.

I got some HSM brand .459" 405 grain cast bullets from Murdoch's in Riverton a while back. I put them over 13 grains of trailboss in my 1886 Winchester (made in 1887) and they are more accurate than I am, but they don't feed well seated to the crimp groove, so I seat them a little deeper. I...

Badlands Precision Bullets thread - From BC to terminal ballistics

This is what quickload says with your data, but substituting a Barnes bullet, modified with the weight and length of the 270SBD. I could probably play with the weighting factor to match your data exactly, but it's good to know I should start 10% low. Thanks for the data, it is useful. (TEST...

Badlands Precision Bullets thread - From BC to terminal ballistics

Does anyone have experience with these bullets and Quick Load? I just ordered some 275 grain Super Bulldozer-2's for my .338 Lapua and some 135 gr Super Bulldozer-2's for the .264 Win Mag and maybe 6.5 creed. Components are tight, I'm down to my last pound of H-1000 and 869, and I have a couple...

    45-70 BFR load data

That was one of the powders I had problems with. I was using CCI large rifle primers and Hornady 300 grain hollow points and couldn't get the trapdoor level loads to ignite in cold weather. On warm days it seemed to work fine. I swore off both the primers and powder. I got the load from...

    45-70 BFR load data

The problem I found with the low pressure loads sometimes wouldn't ignite, or would hangfire. Click, ffffffshhhh, bang. Frightening. I didn't use any fillers, but the manuals did not call for it either. I'm really liking Varget as far as recoil impulse goes, and I might start increasing charge...

    338 Lapua and Reloader 26

RL33 works better with 300 grainers, but I'm sure you could get a load worked up with RL26.

    "Factory Crimp Die"

I crimp everything as well. Recoil moves heavy bullets. I think consistent neck tension is an often overlooked accuracy issue.

    45-70 BFR load data

It's kind of funny, for a cartridge that has been around for almost 150 years reliable load data is sure hard to come by. This is especially true when finding loads compatible with the Magnum Research BFR. Look at the bullet mfg website and the data is completely different than the powder mfg...
