For eastern, shorter range hunting as you described, I'd go 260 and not look back.

Don't take shoulder shots with soft bullets if you want penetration. A better choice would be a Partition, Accubond, TTSX, TSX, etc, if going through heavy bone. Can the others make it sometimes? Sure. Sometimes they don't.

I only know it was done by a smith in Oregon. With the 10 factory rounds I fired I don't have a good idea of accuracy, though it was sub MOA, but previous owner had 200 Accubond handloads under .5 MOA out to 600 yards.

They sure make for good eating

I keep it as close as I can with a bow, too much can go wrong with the arrows flight time
