APO makes the best chasis for Savage IMO with unlimited type of grips {AR type}. Pricey tho.

Read all the reviews and no one has mentioned 6XC! Have an AX AI with 3 barrels (260, 6XC and 6.5 CM in a proof CF). All three are headspaced to screw on and shoot, easy peasy. Longest shot on pig with 6XC was 425', one and done, using 115DTACS.

Best advice is to make a determination, then find 500 cases of brass for that caliber, then look at everything else. Good luck!

Probably the 338 Federal most overlooked cartridge, and one of my favs in Armalite Gas gun.....Shots 185 lights out to 600yds , which is my personal max range any calibre.
